The blackhead removal tool provides the solution to a persistent skin problems. It is a hand-held device used to remove blackheads and impurities. Its lengthened metal structure is similar to a tweezers. There is a loop on one of the ends, aiding the removal of tenacious spots which amass, usually, on the chin, nose and forehead.
A blackhead is an impurity that lies under the surface of your skin. It is a collection of sweat, oil and sebum. Over the course of time the substance hardens. The sebum, once exposed to the air, oxidizes and turns black, thus the name of the problem spot.
The spots have a tendency to cluster in zones over the face, usually the t-zone. It is not dirt that is the cause, a widespread theory, although the trapped oils may be aggravated by dirt.
The remover can be used to treat any blackhead. It needs, however to be used with care. First you must prepare your skin. Wash your skin with medicated cleanser and water. This will prevent any chance of infecting your skin. The cleaner the better.
Fill a basin with warm water (never boiling) and splash your face a few times to remove any leftover cleanser. Rinse a facecloth in the warm water, squeezing out the excess water. Cover your face with it for around one minute. This will help open your pores and make it easy to remove the impurity.
With your tool the first thing to do is disinfect it. Do this each time you use it, before the treatment and after. This will prevent the spreading of bacteria and germs, the root cause. Any topical alcohol will do.
Place the loop the remover, located on the end of the tool, around the spot so that it is directly at the center. Press down gently, maintaining even pressure at the same time. Do this until the pore releases its substance. Do not ever press too forcefully.
As with preparation, the aftercare too is extremely important. After removing the impurity you will need to disinfect the pore. Do this with the same things you used to disinfect your tool, by using a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. When the process is finished you can continue with your normal beauty routine.
It is essential not to be too forceful when treating the blackheads with this tool. The skin on your face is delicate and easily scarred. When you are too rough it will cause unsightly marks. If the substance does not emerge straight away it is best just to leave it and talk to a skin expert.
Never squeeze your spots. The oil in your fingers can easily infect the pores, which can simply aggravate the problem. Also using your fingernails, clean or dirty, can cause scarring and infection. Equally, when cleaning, never be too rough with the skin by scrubbing vigorously.
